thyssenkrupp Automotive Technology is presenting new product developments for electric vehicles at the International Suppliers Fair (IZB)

At this year's International Suppliers Fair (IZB) in Wolfsburg, thyssenkrupp Automotive Technology is presenting its latest innovations and developments for the automotive industry together with thyssenkrupp Steel. The automotive division of the industrial group is presenting its comprehensive product portfolio in hall 6, stand 6202. Particular attention will be paid to the electric refrigerant compressor specially developed by thyssenkrupp Dynamic Components for R744 (CO₂), which is celebrating its premiere at the IZB. The joint stand with thyssenkrupp Steel will focus on global industry trends, particularly future mobility and sustainability. The launch of an exciting thermal management product for battery-powered electric vehicles will be the center of attention.

This new development by the drive specialists at thyssenkrupp enables efficient and sustainable thermal management for electric vehicles. Compared to R290 (propane), R744 offers efficiency advantages in heat pump operation for vehicles and is non-flammable. In addition to its compact design, the compressor is characterized by its high cooling capacity of more than 12 kW. The robust compressor principle ensures high efficiency under all climatic conditions, as well as a broad operating range for continuous operation without a start-stop strategy.

The company has been working on the development of the electric refrigerant compressor since 2018. With this new development, thyssenkrupp Dynamic Components is continuing to drive the transformation towards e-mobility. In the hybrid and conventional internal combustion engine business, additional profitable growth is also derived from the efficiency potential of the applied technologies, which make the latest combustion engines even more powerful and lower in emissions.
