Our Test Center offers top-class services in the field of fatigue strength analysis, from individual planning to execution and documentation. Our team of experienced engineers has expertise in a wide range of areas, from data analysis and control technology to vehicle-specific issues. Our customers include leading companies from the automotive, railroad and machine-building sectors.

State-of-the-art equipment for fatigue strength testing

Thanks to our extensive range of actuators, measurement equipment and facilities for environmental simulation, we can cover a broad spectrum of customer requirements. Our six servo-hydraulic test labs can carry out everything from standard tests to complex custom setups. We can integrate mechatronic systems incl. software environment in the test setup as well as in the test stand controls. We are also happy to support you in all further steps from idea to test result.

Our portfolio for testing fatigue strength includes:

  • Support  for road load data acquisition on test tracks

  • Creation of synthetic load data, data analysis and comparison

  • Preparation of data for multi-body simulation

  • Support in the preparation of design verification plans (DVPs)

  • Planning of CAE-test correlation tests

  • Concept development for customer- and product-specific tests, development of test procedures incl. test stand design

  • Construction of test stands, e.g. construction of half axle kinematic plates from given kinematic models

  • Production control incl. purchase of parts and components 

  • Measuring of test stands and components

  • Testing of passive, semi-active or active dampers or struts

  • Testing in original or replacement kinematics

  • Parallel testing of multiple test items as required

  • Integration of additional load application points and tests with measuring wheels

  • Superposition of environmental conditions

  • Simulation of real kinematics in multi-channel tests with up to 40 channels

  • Integration of mechatronic systems and CAN bus connection/simulation

  • Chassis system testing with real or synthetic road load data

  • Testing fatigue strength of stabilizers and coil, suspension and leaf springs

  • Multi-channel tests in various control modes incl. modal coupling

  • Testing with original vehicle peripherals and/or replacement structures

  • From simple vibration table to MultiAxialShakingTable (MAST) with up to 6 DOFs

  • From small dimensions to test items several meters in size

  • Connection of cylinders to frame structures instead of shake table

  • Testing with acceleration road load data or spectra

  • Integration of mechatronic systems
