Flexibility in the cylinder head

Today, motor manufacturers produce a wide variety of different drive trains. For this reason, they have to design process chains so that they are more flexible and, at the same time, reduce production costs. This is now possible with the development of camshaft modules by thyssenkrupp.

This achievement is based on our advanced development of the proven Presta process for assembling integrated camshafts In this process, the camshafts are integrated into the bearing structure with ready-to-install components. With the integration of the bearing into the camshaft module, we have significantly reduced friction as well as CO2 emissions. Further improvement can be achieved with the optional use of rolling bearings.
