A special gear is installed in the seat joint to adjust the backrest of a vehicle seat. In the event of a vehicle crash, this seat joint has to withstand very high acceleration forces. Instead of conventional sheet metal formed parts, we have developed a net-shape cold-forged part that replaces three sheet metal parts and also significantly increases the joint strength.

Our ring gear, as a universal component of the transmission housing, is used in both manual and power-adjustable seat applications in many vehicles.
